About the Show

ROC Voices airs Sundays from 3-5 PM and we have conversations that change everything. We talk to people who inspire us with the way they think, the way they do things and for who they are. We’ve all got struggles and we all need a hand up to walk that road. We have conversations to help move people down that road in a way that works for them by guiding them to resources that could help, giving advice that worked for us and our guests or just being there every week as a trusted friend. Join us – each Sunday and again on Thursdays, from 3 – 5 PM both days. And join the conversation too follow us on Facebook, X or LinkedIn. Text or call us at 585-420-8351 and watch our FB Live and join us! YOU MATTER. YOUR VOICE MATTERS.

ROC Voices History

Tamara has hosted ROC Voices since February of 2020. She interviewed many of the top leaders in the Rochester NY leaders like, Joanne Ryan, CEO of Ronald McDonald House Charities of Rochester NY, Phyllis Luckenbill, VP of Operations with the YWCA of Rochester and Mayor Evans among others.

Her first guest was The Paper Bag Comic a person who has a mental health diagnosis, and shared it publicly that she was diagnosed with Schizophrenia. Their comic books are a way of coping and telling their story about what happens in their mind and her life.

Tamara has had conversations about what New York State was doing (or not) for people with disabilities as she talked with Heather Burroughs – who has her own podcast – Heather advocated for her daughter, Devyn to get a service dog in her school; and also blew up Gov. Hochul’s phone with X notifications and shook her up a little as she was about to speak at the Democratic convention. She is a true activist for disability rights.

Meet Tamara

Tamara also produces and co-hosts other shows. On Sundays just before ROC Voices, she is the “Dame of the Dials” on Tim Mattice’s show The Jam Band Man Show at 1:30 PM.

On Monday nights, you can catch her doing her “Dame of the Dials & Queen of the Console” role on The Joe Brucato Show which airs Mondays at 7 PM and replays Tuesdays at 7 AM – this is where she controls the chaos.

She also produces her husband, Jim MacDuff, show Everyday Leaders which airs Wednesdays at 7 PM. Jim talks to everyday people who are leading from where they are and doing extraordinary things in the community; often with a Masonic fraternity slant and Masonry is part of his DNA and he is the Monroe District Deputy of Grand Lodge.

When she does leave Rochester Free Radio studio – you can find her hanging out with her husband, children and grandchildren. She loves her coffee, fully supporting the Coffee Connection and their Emily’s Blend – a blend named after her daughter, Emily. Because Emily succumbed to her addiction on Sept 7, 2018 with a Fentanyl Poisoning.

She also loves her rock and roll and football teams, as a result you can hear bands like Bon Jovi, Def Leppard and 80’s Hair Metal. Tamara will also talk about the San Francisco 49ers.

Join the conversation with Tamara &  Tim every Sunday from 3 – 5 PM and check out ALL the great shows here on Rochester Free Radio WRFZ 106.3 FM.
