Midlife Metal with Mike DiGiorgio
Midlife Metal is designed for men and women of a certain age- who still have their CDs (repurchased from cassettes), are doing their best to keep up with the hard rock music that they love and who have their ill-fitting concert shirts hanging in a closet “just in case.”
But Midlife Metal reaches out to those on either side of “midlife”.
The show uses the hard rock of the 1980s as its centerpiece — but won’t stay rooted in the era. It will play the music those artists have done since 1991. It will dip into the rock of the 60s and 70s that influenced the 80s artists. It will dip into the music that came later with an 80s influence. It may even play some modern music that hard rock fans from the 80s can appreciate.
Host Mike DiGiorgio brings in his CDs and plugs in his iPod Classic to the Rochester Free Radio board for 90 minutes of hard rock and metal – 2 – 3:30 p.m. Wednesdays!
