So, you want to do a show on Rochester Free Radio? Great! We’d love to have you join our volunteer team of diverse DJs bringing a wide variety of content to the Rochester community and beyond.
The guidelines for having a show on RFR are simple:
- Rochester Free Radio is a non-commercial, FCC-licensed low-power FM radio station. Therefore, each show must follow FCC guidelines in terms of content (no swearing, slander, references to bodily fluids or functions, etc.). This includes any music played on the show as well as anything spoken by the host or guests, whether live in the studio or over a remote or phone connection.
- No shows with religious or anti-religious themes.
- No shows containing hate speech.
- No shows that act as infomercials/advertisement/self-promotion. If you represent or are aware of a local business wishing to support Rochester Free Radio, please see our underwriting page.
