No real theme tonight, just good tunes, and a few songs for my dear friend Adam, who we lost 10 years ago Monday, way, way too soon.
Hey Peeps Some of you may or may not know my passion about getting our Rochester Christmas traditions back. The City Council has a proposal to bring our monorail back. We need to go down to city hall and voice our support that we want this back up and working.
I have proposed several locations , Sibley building, Charlotte Ferry Terminal, and maybe we should also advocate for a New Midtown Mall to be built at the New Inner Loop project. We also need to propose to find our lost Santa Claus mountain and bring back the clock. Put all three back in the same location.
Join me January 17th, at City Hall 30 Church Street, at 630 bring a sign or if you want to speak please call on Jan 17th before 530 to add your name to the list. If you cant be there then please write a letter. Lets bring it all back in time for next Christmas!!
Yeah, I totally forgot to plays some songs that I loved in 2016 during my Best of 2016 show last week. So I started the new year by trying to make amends. Hope you enjoyed.
Everything is a little out of order below, but it’s all there.
It was my last shift of 2016 and so it was time for one of the great traditions for music geeks everywhere: the year-end best of list. I picked a few songs that I found cool in the last year, and played them in no particular order. Hope you enjoyed. Did I miss any of your favorites? Let me know in the comments.
A soon-to-be-holiday classic, playing songs you likely won’t here on holiday radio anywhere else. Christmas with the Devil? Santa Claus Doesn’t Cop out on Dope? Zombie Christmas? Yes I say. All this, and more.
Whatever you’re celebrating and wherever you may be traveling in the coming days, I’m wishing you peace, joy and happiness now and in the year to come.
Don’t let Rochester’s City Council red light camera program fool you. If it is about safety there are other alternatives than their thievery from the tax payers. Rochester can implement a safer way to stop at intersections. Make the yellow light longer and all sides of the traffic lights come to a 4 way stop, then proceed to the green light on the side next to go. Simple? Right? Not for Rochester’s Democrat City Council unless it involves your money they could not care less about your safety. Who is getting paid off here? WHO?
ITS ALL ABOUT THE MONEY! YOUR MONEY! STOP THE THIEVERY. Go to the City Council meeting tonight. Tuesday December 20, at 630pm. 30 Church Street. Call before 530 tonight if you want to speak if not hold a sign say or do something!! STAND UP!!!

That’s right– We put a time limit on things Monday. No songs over 3 minutes long. Loads of fun.
Rochester has been selling off its history to developers and what have we gotten? Our monorail and Santa Claus mountain were taken away from us, and now the mayor wants to sell off the midtown parking garage, our whole community is being sold off to developers.
These elected city officals are not our leaders they were elected to represent us!! People tend to forget this. We need to stand up and have our voices heard. A proposal is coming up to bring our monorail back but we want it to be operational and not a museum piece. The City could put it in the Sibley Building or the new Ferry Terminal Building in Charlotte or the new inner loop project. Heck tell them to build us a new midtown mall!! Wherever it goes we need to bring our Christmas traditions back that were stolen from us.
The GRINCHES need to go!
Please come to the Rochester City Council meetings and stand up for Rochester they are on the third Tuesday every month starting at 630pm. The next one is December 20,2016 and January 17th,2017. You must call by 530pm that day if you want to speak. The number is 428-7421. If you cant make it please write letters to the City Council the address is Rochester City Council 30 Church Street Room 301A Rochester NY 14614.
